Vigil Pleated Trouser

Two deep pleats released from a high curved waistband, and a leg that moves like liquid because the cloth is a quarter silk. The Vigil sits at the natural waist, closes on a hidden hook and bar under an extended tab, and runs long and straight over a heel with a pressed crease down each front. Pockets are bagged in cupro so nothing prints through the drape, and the waistband is grosgrain-backed to stop it rolling. Ink for a Potts Point dinner, mulberry with the Ash corset top, champagne under the Smoulder blazer at the spring carnival. Hemmed to order.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
