Vesta Longline Wool Coat

The coat that goes over the gown. The Vesta is cut long and narrow in double-faced Australian merino and cashmere coating at 520gsm, so it holds one clean line from shoulder to ankle with no lining to break it. Every seam is split and bound by hand, the only honest way to make a double-face coat. A concealed placket keeps the front quiet, the notch lapel is narrow, and the welt pockets sit deep. Wear it over the Vesper to a black tie winter wedding in the Dandenongs, then over denim on Sunday. Garnet, ink or smoke, made to order in a run of thirty per colour.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
