A yarn-dyed linen and silk suiting at 220gsm is where the money went: the silk gives a low lustre and takes the hard edge off linen's creasing, so the leg still looks considered at four in the afternoon. Two knife pleats each side of a high curved waistband release into a straight leg that finishes just above the knee, with slant pockets, one jetted pocket at the back and a lined waistband so the front stays flat under a tucked camisole. • Fabric: 70% European linen, 30% silk, yarn-dyed, 220gsm; pocketing and waistband lining 100% cotton
• Care: Dry clean, or hand wash cold and dry flat in shade. Warm iron on the reverse while slightly damp.
• Fit: High-rise and roomy through the hip, straight through the leg, with a 26cm inseam finishing just above the knee. Model is 174cm and wears AU 10.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
