Sconce Mohair Skirt Suit

A skirt suit with weight. The jacket is cropped at the high hip and cut boxy, with a rounded shoulder, a three-quarter sleeve and no vent, so it sits away from the body like a small piece of architecture. Under it, a column skirt falls straight to mid-calf with a single back split for walking. Italian wool mohair at 250gsm gives it a faint halo under lights. Fully canvassed, cupro lined, corozo buttons. Jet for a spring carnival marquee, marigold for a garden wedding in the Hunter, truffle for the rest of the year.

• Fabric: 78% wool, 22% mohair, woven in Biella, 250gsm; fully canvassed jacket front; lining 100% cupro; corozo buttons
• Care: Dry clean only. Brush the mohair with the nap and steam rather than press.
• Fit: Jacket boxy and cropped at the high hip, skirt straight and lined with a 74cm length. Model is 175cm and wears AU 10.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
