Brushed merino flannel at 340gsm is heavy enough to hang without clinging, and the waistband is stayed with grosgrain so it sits at the narrowest part of the ribcage and does not roll when you sit down. The body is cut on the straight grain with a single back seam, an invisible zip and a 22cm walking vent that opens for a tram step and closes flat when you stand. It is lined in Bemberg cupro so it moves over hosiery, and the hem is turned and weighted with tape so the mid-calf line holds through a full day. Wear it with the Core merino crew and the Beam oversized blazer on Collins Street in July, or with a heeled boot and the Compass trench through a Canberra winter. It is the piece that makes a suit wardrobe stretch further without buying another suit.
We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.
Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.
Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
Made to order in limited runs and dispatched from our Australian atelier within 5 to 7 business days. Free shipping on every order, or fast shipping for $5. 30-day returns on unworn pieces with tags attached.
Australian sizing, measured in centimetres on the body. Between sizes? The fit note on each piece says whether to go up or down.
