Casement Wool-Linen Skirt Suit

Both pieces are cut from one 265gsm wool-linen so they read as a single line, the linen keeping the hand dry rather than glossy and letting the cloth breathe. The blazer is single-breasted with a floating chest canvas, a shallow shoulder pad and a two-button front that closes at the natural waist, and the sleeve head is set with a little rope so the line survives a day at a desk. The skirt is A-line from a 4cm curved waistband with a single inverted pleat at the centre front, an invisible side zip and a hem just below the knee, half lined in cupro. It carries a mild Melbourne autumn through to a warm October and the spring carnival, and worn apart it is two separates: the skirt with the Core merino knit, the blazer over the Line trouser.

• Care: Dry clean only. Press on the reverse with a cloth and hang the skirt from its waist loops.
• Fit: The blazer sits close through the shoulder with room to layer a fine knit; the skirt is A-line from the waist, 58cm long and hemmed to order. Model is 176cm and wears AU 10.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
