Filament Tailored Waistcoat

A waistcoat cut to be the top, not the middle layer. The Filament is fully structured in dry-hand silk-linen: princess seams through the bust, light boning along the front edges so the V stays flat against skin, five self-covered buttons and a pointed hem that finishes just below the hip bone. Lined and backed in cupro with an adjustable buckle strap, and finished with two slim welt pockets. Butter over a bone trouser for a spring carnival lunch, cherry with denim for a Byron wedding rehearsal, bone under the Smoulder blazer. Made to order.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
