Cornice Wool-Silk Suit

The suit for the room where the decision gets made. A relaxed double-breasted blazer with a six-by-two front, a soft shoulder and a peak lapel runs long over the hip; the trouser is high-waisted, pressed to a knife crease and cut wide to the floor. The cloth is a wool and silk suiting at 300gsm with a low sheen that photographs well under office light. Fully canvassed, corozo buttons, cupro lining in a flash of cobalt that only you know is there. Slate for a Surry Hills office, midnight for a board table in Collins Street.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
