Cinder Drop-Waist Midi

Drop waists have moved from bridal into guest dressing, and the Cinder is our answer. A deep V halter bodice drops to a low seam before releasing into a gathered A-line skirt in yarn-dyed European linen gingham, woven for us in chocolate and bone or cherry and cloud. The waist is lengthened, the skirt moves, and the whole thing weighs almost nothing on a 32-degree Brisbane afternoon. Wear it to Stakes Day, a Sunday lunch in the Yarra Valley or straight off the plane in Capri.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
