Bearing Wool-Crepe Suit Set

The Bearing is the suit you actually wear. The blazer is unstructured, no shoulder pad, a soft sleeve head and a half lining through the back so it sits like a cardigan and photographs like tailoring. The trouser runs straight from a mid rise with a hidden elastic panel at the side and two pockets deep enough for a phone. Both are cut in a 260gsm stretch wool crepe that holds a crease through a Surry Hills Tuesday, a 6am flight to Melbourne and a client dinner, then goes through a cold wool cycle at home.

• Fabric: 62% wool, 32% polyester, 6% elastane crepe, 260gsm; blazer back lining 100% cupro
• Care: Machine wash cold on the wool cycle in a mesh bag. Line dry flat in shade, warm iron on the reverse. Dry clean if you prefer.
• Fit: Blazer relaxed through the body with a soft shoulder, trouser mid-rise and straight with a 79cm inseam. Model is 178cm and wears AU 8.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
