Drift Silk Kaftan

The Drift is the piece for Christmas at the beach house and every long lunch after it. A floor-length T-shape kaftan in silk crepe de chine with a deep V neckline, a hand-rolled hem and side splits to the thigh, it pulls on over swim, belts at the waist for dinner and folds to the size of a paperback. Solid colour, deliberately: seafoam, tomato or ink, so it lives alongside the Atelier prints without competing. One size, cut generously.

We choose our cloth from long-established mills in India, where these fibres have been woven for generations, and hold every roll to the same standard before it is cut. Your piece is then made up by hand in our Australian atelier.

Wash cool and gently, dry in the shade, and press on a low heat. Silk and linen are happiest dry cleaned.

Australian sizing, AU 6 to AU 16. Cut true to size. Between sizes, take the larger for a relaxed line.
